Laval continues to top rankings in Canadian university football

Laval remains undefeated and continues to set the bar in CIS football.

The Rouge et Or earned 13 of 15 first-place votes to remain Canada's top team for a seventh straight week in the media poll released Tuesday.

Laval, coming off a 26-14 win over Bishop's, is one of three teams with a perfect 5-0 record. It has not lost to a Quebec Conference opponent in 19 games.

Manitoba (5-0) placed second in the poll and was the only other team to receive a first-place vote. Saskatchewan (5-1) was third, Ottawa (5-1) fourth and Concordia (5-0) is ranked fifth.

Rounding out the top-10 is Laurier (5-1), McMaster (5-1), Montreal (3-2), Alberta (3-2) and UBC (3-2)
