Argonauts add offensive lineman, release three defensive players from roster

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (CP) _ Offensive lineman Mike Pearson, a five-year NFL veteran, signed with the Toronto Argonauts on Tuesday.

The CFL club also released defensive back Toby Atawo and defensive linemen Corey Jackson and Darrell Lee.

The six-foot-seven, 290-pound Pearson was a second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2002. He started 31 games for the NFL club before suffering a knee injury and spent part of last season with the Miami Dolphins.
