Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Jason Maas was named the CFL's offensive player of the week Wednesday after leading his team to its fourth win of the season.
B.C. Lions linebacker Otis Floyd took the defensive player honours, teammate Tyrone Williams claimed the lineman award while kicker Sandro DeAngelis of the Calgary Stampeders bagged the special teams prize.
Maas, in what was probably his best performance of the season, completed 26-of-39 passes for 388 yards and one touchdown in a 20-18 win over the Edmonton Eskimos, his former club.
Floyd won the defensive honours for the second straight week despite a 23-20 overtime loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, in which he made four tackles, forced three fumbles and recorded two sacks.
Williams, meanwhile, had five tackles, one forced fumble and a sack.
DeAngelis was a perfect 6-for-6 in field goals and 3-for-3 in converts in a 39-18 win over the Toronto Argonauts. He connected from 13, 27, 35, 49, 49 and 51 yards.
