Calgary quarterback Henry Burris was named CFL offensive player of the week on Wednesday after leading the Stampeders to a 32-25 win over the B.C. Lions.
He completed 21 of 37 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns. He had a three-yard touchdown run, finishing with three carries for 18 yards, to help the Stampeders clinch home-field advantage in the West Division semifinal.
Quarterback Kevin Glenn and wide receiver Derick Armstrong of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were also considered for the award.
Calgary kick returner Markus Howell took the special teams honour after returning five punts for 87 yards, including a 57-yarder that set up a touchdown.
Montreal Alouettes kicker Damon Duval and Saskatchewan Roughriders kick returner Dominique Dorsey were also considered.
Toronto Argonauts defensive back Byron Parker was named defensive player of the week and Blue Bombers defensive lineman Gavin Walls was named lineman of the week.
Parker had two interceptions, three tackles and a pass knockdown in the Argonauts' 28-25 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos. Parker scored a touchdown on a 75-yard interception return and now has 342 interception return yards this season. He surpassed Eric Carter's record of 300 yards set in 2003 with B.C.
Argonauts defensive back Chuck Winters was also considered for the award.
Walls was a unanimous selection after he recorded three sacks and one tackle in a 29-22 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He leads the Blue Bombers with 10 sacks.
