Calgary Stampeders kicker Sandro DeAngelis, who led the CFL in scoring and field goals, was named the league's top special-teams player Thursday night.
DeAngelis was a deserving recipient of the John Agro award. The second-year player from Niagara Falls, Ont., booted a club-record 56 field goals (three short of the league record) and finished as the league's scoring leader with 214 points.
Noel Prefontaine, the Toronto Argonauts veteran kicker-punter, was the award finalist.
