David Millar of Britain won the time trial
in the 14th stage of the Spanish Vuelta on Saturday, while Alejandro
Valverde retained the overall lead.
The 29-year-old Saunier Duval rider completed a race against the
clock through the hilltop town of Cuenca in 40 minutes 54 seconds.
Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland was second and Alexandre
Vinokourov of Kazakhstan was third. Valverde had the fourth-best
time, 13 seconds behind Millar.
