Scott Harrison, jailed last month in Spain for an alleged assault, has been cleared to defend his WBO featherweight title on Dec. 9 against Nicky Cook.
``Following consideration today of a number of medical reports received, boxer Scott Harrison has been cleared to proceed with his contest,'' Simon Block, the general secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control, said Tuesday.
The 29-year-old Scotsman has a history of depression and alcohol problems. He was arrested in Malaga, Spain, on Oct. 6 after an alleged assault on a policeman.
He was released on bail earlier this month.
