WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison was expected to be released from jail Monday after paying his bail.
The boxer's release means he will be able to defend his title against Nicky Cook in London on Dec. 9.
The 29-year-old Scottish fighter was expected to fly back to Britain late Monday, according to his manager, Barry Hughes.
``The judge has signed the papers for bail with no conditions attached and he will be released mid-afternoon,'' Hughes said.
Harrison was arrested for an alleged assault in southern Spain on Oct. 6 while training for the fight. The boxer has a history of depression and alcohol problems.
His release order came after he paid 28,000 euros (US$36,000) bail, a spokeswoman for the Superior Justice Tribunal for the southern region of Andalucia said.
The court said Harrison would not have to return to Spain until a trial is ordered.
The fight against Cook was withdrawn from the bill last week by promoter Frank Warren, but Hughes said the fight was provisionally restored.
``We have a medical booked for tomorrow so we are back on the timescale for the fight,'' Hughes said. ``If I thought he was not fit to fight, either mentally or physically, then I would not let the bout go ahead. But Scott has been training for an hour and a half _ twice every day _ and his weight is OK.''
