Kansas City Royals manager Buddy Bell was released from the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Monday, three days after surgery to remove his tonsils and a growth behind the left one.
Bell went to rest at his home in Chandler, Ariz., and was in ``good spirits,'' according to a release from the Royals. Doctors have not yet received biopsy results from the procedure.
Bench coach Billy Doran is serving as interim manager in Bell's place.
